Who is responsible for your data
This website is operated by Krzysztof Sroka, trading as Sroka Content, a sole proprietorship registered in Poland (NIP: PL9691631698). I am the data controller for any personal data collected through this site.

What this site collects
If you email me. Your name, email address and whatever you choose to put in your message. I use it to reply to you and, if we work together, to carry out and invoice that work. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and performance of a contract or steps taken before entering one (Article 6(1)(b)) once we are working together.
If you simply read a page. My hosting provider records standard server log information, including IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request. This is kept for security and technical operation under my legitimate interest in keeping the site working and protected (Article 6(1)(f)).
Analytics. I use Google Analytics to see which pages are read and how visitors find the site. It sets cookies and processes information including a truncated IP address and details of your device and browser. This runs only if you consent to it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by clearing your cookies or using the cookie settings on this site (Article 6(1)(a)).
I do not run a mailing list, comments are disabled, there is no contact form, and this site sells nothing online. There is no advertising here, and I do not sell or share your data with anyone for marketing.
Who else sees your data
- My hosting provider, which stores the site and its server logs.
- Google, as the provider of Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- My email provider, which delivers and stores correspondence.
- My accountant and the Polish tax authorities, where an invoice has been issued and the law requires records to be kept.
Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Those transfers rely on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long I keep things
- Email correspondence that does not lead to work: up to two years, then deleted.
- Client correspondence and project files: for the duration of the work and up to five years afterwards, in line with Polish record-keeping requirements for invoicing and tax.
- Invoices and accounting records: five years from the end of the tax year in which they were issued, as required by Polish tax law.
- Server logs and analytics data: as set by the retention periods of my hosting provider and Google, typically no longer than fourteen months for analytics.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask me to:
- confirm what personal data I hold about you, and give you a copy
- correct anything inaccurate
- delete your data, where there is no legal obligation to keep it
- restrict how I use it
- provide it in a portable format
- stop processing it where I am relying on legitimate interest
Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawing it does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
